Kill your Darlings (2013) : The hallowed halls of Columbia University don't satisfy the literary and creative aspirations of young Alan Ginsberg, played in this biopic by Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter renown. A talented poet, Ginsberg leaves Columbia to travel and explore some new lifestyle options, and strike up close friendships with Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs, authors who will become leading lights of the Beat Generation. Of course, a few encounters with the authorities are in store, including a police investigation into the death of David Krammerer, a devoted admire of Ginsberg as well as another member of the literary circle, Lucien Carr. Arrested as potential suspects, Kerouac, Burroughs and Carr face provocative questions from the police that become a turning point in their personal and creative lives.
